Many low income patients seek healthcare in the public sector which is severely lacking in resources. The Wound Clinic serves those who otherwise would not have access to good wound management.

Many people suffer from chronic wounds resulting from Diabetes, Venous disease, or traumatic wounds, but have difficulty accessing appropriate management due to cost, distance from health centers, and low resourced medical centers.  The pain, foul smell, copious drainage, difficulty walking, and deformity cause many to isolate themselves at home.  The wound clinic serves those with chronic wounds who struggle to access care in the private sector, helping many to heal and return to normal roles in society.
