Every Tribe, Tongue, and Nation

“After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb.”

Revelation 7:9 ESV

This past Friday, Micah and I got to participate in an event that PYF put on, called Sing A New Song, something we had been planning since the previous month. 200 youth from different youth homes came for a night of worship, teaching, prayer stations, and time with God. Our theme for the event was called Heart of Worship, and it was the idea that without what Jesus did for us on the cross, we wouldn’t have any reason to celebrate or have any meaning in our lives. It was a huge success and I’m so grateful that I was able to be a part of it.

One thing that stuck out to me and honestly made me tear up was during the worship. I stood in the back, and what I got to witness will stick with me forever. The music was all in Thai and there were so many voices being lifted up in the room of that church to praise and worship our God. It was a beautiful sight to see. For me, it was a glimpse into what Heaven will be like, and I’m so thankful that God gives us those moments to witness in our world that’s broken by sin.

While I stood there, I kept thinking of Revelation 7:9. It's a great reminder that we have brothers and sisters all over the globe who worship the same God every single day and seek to walk in relationship with Him. We are collectively the body of Christ no matter who we are or where we are. And one day we will all be united in Heaven to worship our God forever. How cool is that?

God is so good!
