Transformative Water

Transformative Water seeks community transformation among the Maasai of rural Kenya through increased access to clean drinking water and addressing the knowledge, social, and relational needs surrounding the community's need for water. Local Kenyan partners include Africa Hope and Aqua Clara Kenya.

Household water filters have improved household water security. Through increased access of household water filters, we have seen (1) reduced worry about having clean drinking water, (2) money saved as households no longer need to purchase drinking water or water treatment chemicals, (3) saved time and reduced labor as households no longer need to search for additional firewood to boil water, as well as (4) improved health and overall well-being.

WASHiriki health clubs spread water and sanitation health knowledge as well as inspire communities towards worship and a life with Jesus. WASHiriki health clubs provide social and relational support for women pursuing clean drinking water, hygene and better health for their families as they can navigate this change with the support of their health club, which will consist of neighbors, family, and friends who live nearby. These health clubs also support local church ministry, fostering the spiritual growth of those who attend and inspiring attendees to follow Jesus.
