Abi and Joel grew up on opposite sides of the planet, but as they each individually followed God's call to serve in full time missions, they met each other in the process. Joel is from Western Australia and Abi is from Texas, and they met at the Youth With A Mission base in Perth, Australia. They were married in 2015 and have been blessed with 3 wonderful children. They served in Youth With A Mission for over 10 years as leaders in various areas, including music and worship ministries, worship training schools, discipleship mission programs, and coordinaters and overseers of outreach programs throughout Africa, South-East Asia, Europe, and North America. They also were worship leaders on their Youth With A Mission campus, and Joel served as the campus' worship teams coordinator.
Joel and Abi are passionate about reaching the lost through evangelism, seeing young people discipled into their callings, and seeing churches planted and thriving. Holding a particular passion for worship, Joel and Abi are musicians and songwriters that hope to serve the body of Christ with their music, as well as speak the truth of the gospel to those who do not yet know the Lord.
God has called them to Belfast, Northern Ireland to pioneer a church plant with the Ireland for Jesus team, whose vision and goal is to see healthy churches planted across the whole Emerald Isle. Joel and Abi are helping lay the groundwork for worship, discipleship, and evangelistic movements, starting in the heart of Belfast. They are believing and working alongside the Ireland for Jesus team to see this beautiful island return to its great Christian heritage, and be a light to the nations surrounding.
