Ready to Expand My Horizons!

I was born and raised in Rogers, AR. I’m the third oldest of nine, and the oldest girl. Growing up in a large family has come with its ups and downs, but overall has grown me in ways I wouldn’t have otherwise. I grew up as a “PK” (Pastor’s Kid) because my dad was a worship minister for almost 20 years. With music running in my family, you could say I “grew up” on stage, which has given me musical knowledge without the schooling. I felt myself slowly drifting away from my faith as my family and I went through rocky paths. In the past few months, I’ve felt the tug to join the EnterMission team. I think it would be good for me to meet different people in a new environment, continue to grow my faith away from home through serving others, gaining independence from my childhood home, and being uncomfortable. None of this will be easy, I work at 7-Brew and absolutely LOVE my job and my whole team, I’ve been there for a year. I have to leave the financial security of having a consistent stream of income and I’m leaving all of my siblings with whom I’m very close. I’ve never had the desire to go to college, and this seems like the perfect opportunity to learn new things about myself, and find new passions without the stresses of being in a rush. I’m very excited for this opportunity.
