Appreciating the Work God is Doing

Throughout my time in Prague, the Lord reconnected with me some people who I had met during my time there last summer, and I enjoyed getting to hear and see how the Lord is moving in their lives. Michal, the gentleman who I had observed evangelizing to people in a park in Prague, came to visit the library briefly in early July. It was so good to reunite with him and hear about how his ministry is going in the Czech Republic and in other parts of the world. He shared some information about some bracelets that he now uses as a gift to give to people but also as some of his evangelism tools. The bracelet itself has several different symbols on it that pertain to questions or pieces of the Gospel that someone sharing it can ask or tell someone who may not know about it.

I also got to reconnect with a gentleman named Honza who I had met at the board game night we did at the beginning of last summer. At the board game night this summer, I was able to meet his sister and his nephew. I had originally said hello to Honza again at church because we attend the same church in Prague, but we hadn’t gotten to reconnect as much until later on at the board game night. I sat down and played a couple of games with him, his sister, and his nephew. We had a wonderful time playing a simple game about housing properties that I had never played before and another game about camel racing. Honza speaks English very well, but his nephew and sister did not speak much English. I did not speak much Czech, but it was wonderful that we were still able to enjoy playing a game together regardless of what language was being spoken. I feel like I also got to understand more about Czech culture in families through watching them interact and I felt in a way that I was a part of it which was also special to experience.

I am grateful that I was able to reunite with these individuals and see different dimensions of relationships between Czechs and how ministry is done there so I can more deeply appreciate the work that God is doing in Prague and through Czech people all over the world.
