Jo Anne's first short term mission project was to Bulgaria in 2004 to assist with Vacation Bible School among the Roma people. Her prior service in the U.S. Army provided her with a cross-cultural experience that fed her passion for people of other cultures. Following the project in 2004, she and her husband, Dean, continued short term ministry in Kenya.
These experiences kept missions alive in her heart as she continued to work full-time as a Dental Hygienist and volunteered with New International every Friday for 12 years. When she retired in 2020, she knew she had to follow God's leading to join New International as a full-time affiliate.
Now JoAnne serves with both our Human Resources Department and International Operations Department. Her main duties include handling the mail for our 200+ affiliates throughout the world and assisting with the International Operations Departmental meetings. She also uses her gifts in the office for additional support tasks for Finance, Ends of the Earth Cycling, Media and any other areas needed.
JoAnne lives in Fort Myers with her husband, Dean. They have one daughter, a son-in-law and three wonderful grandsons.
