Heather Burton

After 19 years of working in corporate America, Heather answered God’s call to Africa where she works mainly with the Xhosa people in the impoverished townships outside of Cape Town.  Through teaching math, youth leadership and women’s workshops, Bible collection and distribution and Youth Ministry, her prayer is that individual lives will be changed as they learn to think and act like Jesus resulting in not just individual transformation, but also community transformation. Through Gospel-centered love and compassion Heather’s ministry uses a holistic approach to meeting the physical, emotional, relational and spiritual needs of those she walks life with.  

In the extremely violent and impoverished communities where many feel hopeless, God is using Heather to help people realize their talents, abilities and value in order to give them hearts full of hope for better futures.
